About thirty miles from downtown Chattanooga, you
will find our church camp, Dogwood Lodge. There you can enjoy a natural setting
of hills, extensive waterfront and wooded walking trails. This is a perfect way
to get away from our hurried lives to worship and enjoy God's creation.
Dogwood Lodge is open year round enabling groups both small and large to enjoy
the softness of the blooming Dogwood trees as well as the vivid colors of fall.
The Lodge is well suited for retreats, church groups, youth camps, conferences,
and organizational meetings. The Lodge can accommodate up to 80 overnight
guests, and the dining area can seat between 150-200 people.
In addition, we have a three bedroom cottage available for those times you just
want to have a quiet retreat. For those who really enjoy "getting back to
nature" there is an area for tents. Or if you don't want to be quite that
primitive, there are electrical hookups for campers and trailers.
Many regional churches utilize the camp for their Vacation Bible School. We have
received such comments as: "If the walls of Dogwood could talk, it certainly
would comment on how many kids have come to this camp to enjoy the beautiful
world that our God has made. It has been a place for me to bring kids to
experience this and for them to listen to Him in a very intentional way. It is a
very affordable place, with lots of space for a variety of activities and Bible
study. The staff is always there to help in any way. Our kids are already asking
when we are coming back to Dogwood. A special place where lifelong friendships
are built and memories are forever in our hearts."
"We have enjoyed using Dogwood Lodge over
the past several years. It is a great place to get away but not too far from
home. The set up is nice with guy and girl lodging sides and the air
conditioning makes it very comfortable."
"I like the large assembly room for our dining and worship area. It is easy to
rearrange and make into a game room for after worship fellowship. We also enjoy
the campfire set-up, nature and the lake atmosphere."
