Gotta Minute
Twenty five years ago while
making the long and lonely drive
from Tuscumbia, Alabama to
Montgomery, Alabama I began to
think about the new radio
ministry I was envisioning. I
wanted to broadcast a 60 second
radio spot that would take a
side door approach, that is,
tell a funny or everyday story
about real people and at the end
hook the listener with a Godly
message.
But, how do you get people’s
attention? Why not just ask them
to have a minute to listen to my
little story?
With that, “Gotta Minute?” was
born! These 60 second little
spots have been in newspapers,
magazines, on TV and on a dozen
radio stations. To most
Chattanoogans, it is the way
through which First Baptist
Church and Gary Carver are
known. I hope you enjoy these
recent samples.
